About Us

SkyWatch wasn't born in a sterile corporate boardroom—it was built out of a lifelong obsession with tracking the world around us, a deep-rooted passion for aviation, and decades of hands-on engineering experience. Founded by two brothers and a childhood friend, our team combines technical software precision with rugged hardware craftsmanship to bring live tracking right to your desktop.

Meet the Founders

Jason — Co-Founder & Software Architecture

As the oldest brother, Jason brings over 20 years of professional computer programming experience to the table. Based in Ohio with his family, Jason handles the complex architecture, firmware optimization, and seamless data processing that powers every SkyWatch device. His code ensures that high-speed real-time feeds run smoothly, reliably, and right out of the box.

Matt — Co-Founder & Aviation Lead

The youngest brother, Matt calls North Dakota home. With a lifelong love for aviation, Matt brings invaluable domain expertise as a private pilot and former air traffic controller, while currently working in the agricultural sector. His firsthand experience watching the skies from both the cockpit and the radar screen inspired the core vision behind SkyWatch: giving enthusiasts a tangible, beautiful way to visualize the traffic moving above them.

Jim — Co-Founder & Hardware Production

Jim has been a close childhood friend of the brothers for decades and is the mechanical backbone of the operation. Living in Texas with his wife and their bustling household of pets, Jim works as a professional HVAC technician by day. His deep understanding of thermodynamics, enclosures, and physical assembly has been instrumental in designing, prototyping, and producing the sleek, durable cases that house every SkyWatch unit.

Our Mission

We created SkyWatch Desk Radar because we wanted a device that satisfies our own curiosity—something tangible, responsive, and beautifully engineered to bridge the gap between digital data and physical space. From our workbench to your desk, we are proud to build hardware that keeps you connected to the movement of the world.
